Luxury phone brand Vertu assigned Digitas LBi to redesign vertu.com into a responsive e-commerce website. Vertu phones are handmade of the most exclusive materials. Digitas LBi hired me to help out with the visual design.
The Vertu identity is mainly defined by the extensive use of black, luxurious product photography and eccentric brand photography. The new site design takes these design elements as a base for product pages, and combines it with sufficient use of white for a good legibility and sense of space on pages with more information and functionality. For the phones targeted at the female market bright colors were added. Furthermore, the design was set up to be immersive for a rich and full screen brand-experience, combined with all the elements needed for an e-commerce site.
